Roland Garros (Grand Slam) - Michelle perde na 1ª ronda da qualificação
Michelle Larcher de Brito perdeu com a alemã Tatiana Malek, por 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, na 1ª ronda do quadro de qualificação de Roland Garros (Grand Slam). A portuguesa deverá voltar à competição em Nottingham, seguindo-se Birmingham e Wimbledon.

I saw both of Michelle's matches in Brussels. I also saw Tatiana Malek play in the French Open final round qualies. I don't think Michelle's game is at a lower level than when she was 15 or 16. Her groudstrokes are just as good and her serve is slightly better. I think it is a matter of her confidence not being as high as it was when she was younger.
I have seen 11 of her matches: 1 at age 13, 1 at age 14 at the Sony Ericsson Miami, 1 at age 15, 3 at age 16 at Estoril, 3 at age 17 and 2 at age 19 in Brussels.
Tatiana Malek hit a lot of slices and would have been a tough opponent for Michelle. Aranxta Rus was just too good, she overpowered Michelle. Aranxta is now in the round of 32 at the French Open.
Of the matches I have seen Michelle play, there were 2 in which she was completely outplayed. One was against Simona Halep and the other was the Aranxta Rus match.
Michelle will get her confidence back. I don't know when that will be but a few WTA wins in a row will get it back. She is a good grass court player so she may do better in the next 3 tournaments.
Don't give up on her. She will be back with some good wins. I certainly will continue to follow her career.

Torneio difícil o primeiro dos indicados .
A Michelle é a 17ª da qualficação e a Cs1 do torneio ( Christina Mchale ) é a 36ª WTA .
Como a Michelle anda a perder tantas vezes com tenistas pior classificadas pode ser que nos presenteie com algumas vitórias perante adversárias melhor classificadas no ranking .
